My desire to practice law came about in a much different manner than most. Growing up I was fascinated with science, engineering and technology. It was not until I was almost done with my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama in Birmingham that my Fraud Accounting teacher gave me that extra push over the line of decision to attain a law degree. Dr. Tommie Singleton, a well know fraud investigator, explained to me the deficiency of individuals that have knowledge of both the legal and technology worlds; he explained that it was a very small number.

My goals are to help strengthen the laws that surround cyberspace while helping individuals and businesses achieve their goals. The more advances we have in technology the more complex the climate becomes. Technology has created new ways for your identity to be stolen, personal information taken, and even how people are bullyed and attacked. I don't blame social media and the big technology companies, I feel its more important to work with them. For this reason I don't just practice the subjects, I study the subjects so I am always thinking ahead.
